Vietnam Showcases Agricultural Excellence at SIAL Paris 2024

Vietnam is making a strong impression at the SIAL Paris 2024, one of the world’s largest food trade fairs, currently taking place in Paris from October 19 to 23. Nearly 100 Vietnamese exhibitors are promoting an array of high-quality agricultural products, showcasing the nation's growing influence in the global food market.

Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Dinh Toan Thang, highlighted the significant increase in Vietnamese participation at SIAL over recent years. This growth not only helps build a national brand within France and Europe but also enhances Vietnam's reputation in other international markets. The ambassador noted that Vietnamese enterprises have been more strategic in their approach, focusing on meeting the evolving preferences of global consumers.

The exhibitors at SIAL are not just showcasing healthy, premium products; they are also adapting to meet foreign tastes, reflecting a commitment to quality and innovation. Thang emphasized that this participation illustrates the ability of Vietnamese businesses to thrive on a global scale, especially leveraging the advantages offered by free trade agreements with the EU and other partners.

Audrey Ashworth, Event Director of SIAL Paris 2024, shared that this year's theme, "Own the Change," marks the 60th anniversary of the event. It serves as a vital platform for industry stakeholders to tackle pressing challenges like climate change, supply chain disruptions, and technological advancements. The fair is bringing together experts from around the world to exchange ideas and explore innovative solutions in areas such as corporate social responsibility, artificial intelligence, and supply chain resilience.

With around 7,500 exhibitors and approximately 285,000 visitors from over 200 countries, SIAL Paris continues to be a key event for the food and beverage industry. As Vietnam steps onto this prestigious stage, it not only highlights its agricultural prowess but also positions itself as a forward-thinking player in the global food market.
