The Five-Year Closure of Okku Dubai is being Followed by a Reopening.

It's challenging to compete in such a competitive region of the city's culinary scene when there are so many fantastic places to eat sushi, sashimi, kushi, and more. However, it won't stop new venues or some renovated ones from giving it a go.

After bidding customers goodbye in 2018, the once well-known Japanese eatery Okku, which was housed in The H Dubai hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, is making a return.

When he revealed that Okku was reopening on the Palm Jumeirah, Ramzy Abdul-Majeed, the restaurant's creator and the man behind Claw BBQ, teased the announcement on LinkedIn.

After then, Time Out Dubai got word that the location will be situated at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah. As a result, Okku will be surrounded by places like Cucina, Above Eleven, Seor Pico, and more.

The location will reportedly have a restaurant, lounge, and bar, however specifics are being kept under wraps.

Okku has gained popularity with diners in Dubai since its opening in 2009. It offered brunch and a popular ladies' night.
