Sigep 2024: A Global Showcase of Innovative Dolce Trends and Industry Excellence

From January 20 to 24, Rimini Expo Centre will host Sigep 2024, the 45th edition of the international artisan gelato, pastry, bakery, and coffee trade show organized by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group. Under the theme "The Dolce World Expo," Sigep will feature innovative ideas in the industry, with a special focus on excellence in innovation, globally trending topics, and scenarios at "The Vision Plaza."

Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, announced that The Vision Plaza will host key speakers in the dolce foodservice sector, including Circana, a leading US advisor on consumer behavior. Their reports highlight a +12% increase in "out-of-home" consumption in Europe in 2022, with dolce bakery products alone accounting for 11.4 billion.

Sigep 2024 anticipates tens of thousands of operators from around the world, with 500 top buyers from 83 countries collaborating with ITA-Italian Trade Agency and the IEG regional advisor network. The event will showcase 1,200 brands, with an international share close to 18%, representing 35 countries.

Delegations from major US restaurant chains, gelato and pizza manufacturers, and coffee brands, as well as representatives from Singapore, Brazil, Iran, Argentina, Serbia, Macau, Chinese Taipei, Chile, Spain, Peru, Switzerland, and others, highlight the global reach of Sigep. Notably, the World Association of Chefs Societies will make its debut as a newcomer, adding a new dimension to this global showcase.
