Origami Sushi Makes Abu Dhabi Debut: Japanese Restaurant Chain Unveils New Location in the UAE Capital

Origami Sushi, the renowned Japanese restaurant chain, has opened its inaugural establishment in Abu Dhabi, located in the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as reported by HotelNewsME. This new addition, positioned in Marsa Al Bateen, signifies the fifth location for the restaurant chain in the country.

With three existing properties in Dubai and one in Sharjah, Origami Sushi is celebrated for its diverse menu, featuring robata specialties and large plates, including offerings such as tenderloin, salmon teriyaki, and braised short rib dishes.

The design of Origami Marsa Al Bateen draws inspiration from traditional Japanese culture and culinary aesthetics. The outlet showcases a temple-like structure and provides both indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor area encompasses a sushi bar and the main dining area, while a private dining room, known as the koshitsu room, offers an intimate Japanese dining experience for up to eight guests, complete with its own kitchen and dedicated service staff.

Guests at Origami Marsa Al Bateen can choose from the regular menu or opt for special shared dishes prepared by Origami chefs right in front of them. The restaurant's fusion menu includes signature dishes from other locations and exclusive offerings unique to this outlet, spanning soups, salads, small plates, sushi, robata (fireside cooking) skewers, and large plates.

Some of the delectable dishes featured on the menu include prawn tempura, chicken tsukune skewers, and wagyu ribeye and black Angus beef. The small plates selection boasts Japanese Tuna Pizza and Wagyu in Potato Chips, among others. Origami Sushi, founded in 2014, continues to captivate diners with its innovative Japanese fusion cuisine, offering a delightful culinary experience that combines tradition and creativity.
