Mt Yengo Wines Gains Momentum with International Expansion

Mt Yengo Wines, Australia’s first Indigenous-owned wine brand, is making waves both locally and internationally, with an impressive tenfold growth over the past three months. This rapid growth comes on the heels of expanded retail partnerships and an exciting push into international markets.

Expanding Reach Through Retail Partnerships

In Australia, Mt Yengo Wines has made significant strides in increasing its retail presence. The brand has added three new wines to Vintage Cellars and First Choice Liquor stores, which are part of the Coles Liquor network. With these new additions, Mt Yengo can now be found in 93 Vintage Cellars locations and 102 First Choice Liquor stores across the country, making the wines more accessible to consumers everywhere.

Taking the World Stage: US and China Markets

But the expansion doesn't stop there. Mt Yengo Wines has been actively growing its footprint in the US for the past four years, building a loyal customer base. The brand is now preparing to enter the Chinese market in 2025, with plans for even further global expansion, including into Europe. This international reach is a major milestone for the brand as it continues to showcase Australian Indigenous culture through its premium wines.

Cruises and Renowned Venues

Mt Yengo Wines is also making a splash in the hospitality industry with a supply agreement with Carnival Cruises, including popular cruise lines like P&O and Princess Cruises. The brand’s wines will now be served on board, adding to its presence in high-profile venues such as Rockpool Sydney and Midden by Mark Olive at the Sydney Opera House. These prestigious placements further elevate the brand's status in both the local and international markets.

A Pride in Indigenous Ownership

Wayne Quilliam, a Palawa man, artist, and co-owner of Mt Yengo Wines, shared his excitement about the company’s achievements. “Our people are proud to see an Indigenous-owned brand thriving,” Quilliam said. “We aim to celebrate our culture while offering a premium product that resonates globally.”

Mt Yengo Wines' journey is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of its founders. With its continued growth and expansion into new markets, the brand is not only increasing its global footprint but also paving the way for greater recognition and appreciation of Indigenous Australian culture.
