Mr. Moto: The newest Japanese restaurant and bar in Yas Marina opens

This is the most recent creation from restaurateurs Layla Kardan and Hamdan Al Khafaji.

In Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, a brand-new Japanese bar and restaurant called Mr. Moto has opened. Mr. Moto, the newest addition to the stable of restaurateurs Hamdan Al Khafaji and Layla Kardan, also includes Penelope's Brasserie & Jazz Bar and Éla Éla.

Mr. Moto is characterized by Al Khafaji as a "rendezvous led by a character who embodies the thrill of indulgence." Mr. Moto is envisioned as a mid-century modern Japanese cocktail and snack bar. It serves larger sharing plates for gatherings as well as snacks and small plates ideal for "drop-in drinkers." Nashville karaage, spicy udon carbonara, baby-gem gomae salad, and sticky calamari are among the dishes served.
