Millennium and Copthorne Hotels Break Ground on RAK's AED1 Billion Beach Expansion.

On Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai Investments have started construction on the AED 1 billion Danah Bay beach development.

The size of Danah Bay is 86,000 square meters, including 40,000 square meters of beaches. Included among the 209 villas are two-bedroom townhouses with roof terraces, three-bedroom villas, four-bedroom beachfront villas, and five-bedroom breakwater villas. The project's residential tower has 128 units ranging from studios to penthouses with four bedrooms.

The project also includes a four-star upscale hotel with 300 rooms, run by Millennium and Copthorne Middle East Holdings.

Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, vice chairman of Ras Al Khaimah's Investment and Development Office, Khalid Bin Kalban, vice chairman and CEO of Dubai Investments, Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, and HE Ali Bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, founder chairman of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, participated in the beachfront development's groundbreaking ceremony.

Dubai Investments' Kalban said, "This event is a key milestone for us, as it affirms our expansion into the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah with our flagship development, hence strengthening Dubai Investments' status as a pan-UAE developer."

"The project is envisioned as an ideal location that would serve the emirate's rising tourist needs and give residential options with an unique lifestyle. With attractive residency requirements, favorable property and business ownership terms, and a growing community of entrepreneurs and businesses, we are confident that Danah Bay is just the beginning and that Dubai Investments will continue to capitalize on the lucrative opportunities the emirate will offer in the coming years."

Dubai Investments has hired AE Seven Morse Architecture & Engineering Consultancies Co. as the project's architects and supervisors.
