Nestled within the stunning architecture of One Za’abeel, La Dame de Pic Dubai has quickly risen to fame, earning a Michelin star in July during the third edition of the Michelin Guide Dubai. This prestigious accolade is well-deserved, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to offering a refined take on French cuisine.
Since its debut in February 2024, La Dame de Pic has enthralled diners with a fresh approach to French dining, offering not just a meal, but a full-fledged luxury experience. Set against the backdrop of the world’s longest cantilever and a sweeping view of Dubai’s iconic skyline, dining here is as much about the atmosphere as it is about the food.
The moment you step inside, the ambiance strikes a balance between sophistication and warmth. The design, a perfect reflection of Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s culinary creativity, features elegant feminine elements and abstract forms. Mirrors and lights play off each other, creating a serene and intimate environment that complements the meal.
Of course, the real star is the food, and with Chef Anne-Sophie Pic at the helm—the most Michelin-starred female chef in the world—you’re in for an unforgettable dining adventure. The menu is a carefully crafted symphony of flavors, showcasing the chef’s talent for combining unexpected ingredients into delicate, harmonious dishes. For those who prefer plant-based options, the restaurant also offers vegan and vegetarian menus.
One unique feature is that all the menus come in two variations: Harmony and Symphony. We opted for the seven-course Symphony menu, which is priced at Dh915 per person (excluding beverage pairings). While this may sound pricey, the experience is well worth it.
The journey begins with the Heirloom Tomato, served with eucalyptus and lemon verbena ice cream. This refreshing starter brings out the natural sweetness of the tomato, and when paired with a matching beverage, the flavors are elevated even further.
Next up is the Green Beans glazed with carvi honey, pike roe tarama, Oscietra caviar, and pickled wild lavender. This dish is a testament to the chef’s ability to elevate everyday ingredients into something extraordinary.
One of the standout moments is the signature Les Berlingots ASP, featuring 24-month-aged comté, green peas, wild rocket, coriander, and pistachio—a delightful mix of textures and flavors.
Seafood lovers are in for a treat with the Wild John Dory, perfectly cooked over embers. The smoky flavor of the fish pairs beautifully with the sweet and tangy red pepper tartelette, offering a well-balanced dish.
Moving on to the main course, the Wagyu Beef striploin is nothing short of sublime. Perfumed with shiso and bergamot, and served with crispy aubergine and ponzu gel, the beef is tender, flavorful, and enhanced by subtle, fragrant notes.
Before diving into dessert, the Cheese Course offers a creative twist on the classic cheese platter. The Saint-Marcellin foam is light and creamy, while the fig leaf ice cream adds a subtle sweetness, making for an elegant palate cleanser.
For dessert, the Manjari Soufflé is a must-try. Made with rich Manjari chocolate and spiced with voatsiperifery pepper, this soufflé is a decadent end to the meal. Paired with tarragon ice cream, the contrast of deep chocolate and herbal flavors creates a perfect balance of richness and lightness.
La Dame de Pic undoubtedly adds to Dubai's fine dining scene with its innovative French cuisine and unforgettable atmosphere. While the experience comes at a premium, it’s one that shouldn’t be missed, offering diners a Michelin-starred culinary adventure high above the city from the 25th floor of One Za’abeel.
