Hotels in Dubai are preparing for a spike in demand due to the COP28 meeting.

As the UN climate summit COP28 draws near, hotels in Dubai are bracing for an increase in demand; some are already fully booked. During the busiest time for winter travel, from Thursday, November 30, to Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the COP28 summit will be held at Expo City 2020. Additionally, it falls on Saturday, December 2, the same day as the UAE's National Day celebrations.

The summit, which will examine international efforts to address the climate catastrophe, is expected to draw thousands of participants, including world leaders, ministers, negotiators, climate campaigners, and activists.

Numerous hotels close to the neighborhoods of Expo City are seeing extraordinarily high demand and anticipate high occupancy rates. According to Paul Bridger, chief operating officer of Rove Hotels, "yes, we are seeing a significant increase in reservation enquiries for the COP28 period across our hotels in Dubai," Khaleej Times said. According to reports, occupancy numbers will increase closer to the event.
