CBRE Completes Premier Inn Development in England

CBRE Investment Management has successfully completed a new-build Premier Inn hotel in York, England. This 188-room property, previously a carpet warehouse, is now under a 25-year lease with Whitbread PLC. This development marks a significant transformation and addition to York’s hospitality sector.

Tribute Portfolio Debuts in the UAE

Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio has made a grand entrance into the UAE with The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle. This 491-room hotel, owned by Dubai-based The First Group, is a significant milestone for the Tribute Portfolio brand in the region.

IHG and Novum Hospitality Open First Holiday Inn - The Niu Property

In June, IHG Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Novum Hospitality, opened the 177-room Holiday Inn - The Niu Cure in Erlangen, Germany. This opening is part of a larger agreement to develop 200 hotels across 100 German cities, leveraging Novum’s existing portfolio.

Hilton Athens to Rebrand as Conrad Athens

The iconic Hilton Athens is set to be reborn as Conrad Athens. Ionian Hotel Enterprises is spearheading this redevelopment, which includes 278 rooms and 55 branded residences. The investment, totaling €340 million, will also feature numerous restaurants, entertainment facilities, wellness options, and a members’ club.

Zannier Hotels Bendor to Open in 2026

The luxurious Zannier Hotels Bendor will open in spring 2026 on the 17-acre Mediterranean isle of Bendor, near Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and Toulon, France. This 93-room hotel will bring a new level of luxury to the picturesque island, known for its connection to French industrialist Paul Ricard.

HR Group Acquires 34-Hotel Portfolio

Germany's HR Group has acquired 34 hotels from Centro Holding and Centro Hotel Management. This acquisition adds approximately 2,800 rooms to HR Group’s portfolio, spanning several European countries and various brands including Boutique, Centro Hotels, FourSide, NinetyNine, and NYCE.

TFE Hotels to Debut A by Adina in Europe

Australian-based TFE Hotels is set to launch its aparthotel brand A by Adina in Europe, with the opening of the A by Adina Vienna Danube in Austria’s capital in 2025. This 120-room hotel is being developed in partnership with S+B Group and Soravia.

Accor Opens Hotel in Democratic Republic of Congo

Accor has inaugurated the 120-room Novotel Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s second-largest city. Located on Lake Kipopo, the hotel is a significant addition to the region, just 20 miles from the Zambian border.

Bet Capital Group Acquires Izán Hotels Group

Spanish family office Bet Capital Group has announced the acquisition of Izán Hotels Group, pending official approval. The group includes five hotels with a total of 663 rooms across Spain, three of which are operated by Izán, with the others under white-label firms.

Ruby Hotels Opens in Dublin

Ruby Hotels, a German hotel firm, has opened the 272-room Ruby Molly in Dublin. Additionally, they have announced a 225-room Ruby-branded hotel in Rotterdam, with an opening date yet to be disclosed.

Mar-Bella Collection to Open Hotel in Corfu

Mar-Bella Collection is expanding its portfolio with a new hotel in Corfu. The 76-room Avali will be the firm’s fourth property, joining two existing hotels on the island and one on the Greek mainland in Parga.
