Hilton Expands Its Presence in Morocco with Nine New Hotels

Hilton, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, is making significant strides in expanding its footprint in Morocco. With tourism in the country experiencing a boom, Hilton is set to more than double its portfolio in the region, adding over 1,300 new rooms across nine new properties. These new openings, set to debut in the coming years, will cater to a variety of travelers, from luxury seekers to those looking for more budget-friendly options.

A Glimpse Into Hilton’s Moroccan Expansion

The expansion will introduce Hilton’s renowned brands across multiple cities, including Casablanca, Rabat, Benguérir, and Fes. Notably, the hotel chain is marking its entry into new markets in Morocco, such as the debut of Waldorf Astoria and LXR Hotels & Resorts in the country.

Waldorf Astoria – Rabat Salé (Opening 2025)

The Waldorf Astoria in Rabat Salé will open in 2025 as part of a mixed-use development, which will be the tallest building in Morocco. Standing 250 meters high and boasting 55 floors, this luxurious hotel will offer 55 rooms and suites, two specialty restaurants, and Waldorf Astoria’s iconic Peacock Alley. Additional amenities will include a pool restaurant, a spa, an outdoor infinity pool, and a fitness studio. With office spaces, residences, and an observatory integrated into the building, Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé promises to be a breathtaking destination.

LXR Hotels & Resorts – Casablanca (Opening 2025)

Set to open in 2025, LXR Hotels & Resorts Casablanca will be the first LXR property in Morocco. Located in the exclusive ‘Triangle d’Or’ district, this high-end hotel is part of a broader mixed-use development. The LXR hotel will feature 148 rooms and suites, three signature restaurants, a rooftop venue, and a wellness spa. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s outdoor pool and multifunctional spaces, all designed with a modern aesthetic while drawing inspiration from the legacy of Les Arènes de Casablanca.

Curio Collection by Hilton – Casablanca (Opening 2026)

Scheduled to open in 2026, the Curio Collection by Hilton in Casablanca will have 63 guest rooms and a fully equipped fitness center. Located within the Metropolitan development, this hotel will give guests access to a vibrant selection of food and beverage, entertainment, and retail offerings in the vicinity.

Curio Collection by Hilton – Rabat (Opening 2026)

Inspired by the city’s famous Botanical Garden, the Curio Collection by Hilton in Rabat will offer 94 guest rooms. Guests will enjoy a diverse culinary experience, with three dining venues including a brasserie, a signature restaurant, and a rooftop restaurant. This hotel, set to open in 2026, will also feature a pool and modern amenities for a truly luxurious stay.

DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre & Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca City Centre (Opening 2026)

Two additional Hilton properties are expected to open in Casablanca later this year:

  • DoubleTree by Hilton Casablanca City Centre will feature 389 guest rooms and suites, four specialty restaurants, a lobby bar, a tea lounge, a 2,500 square meter spa, and 13 meeting rooms.
  • Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca City Centre will open in 2026, offering 176 contemporary guest rooms, an all-day dining venue, and a café and lobby bar.

Hampton by Hilton – Morocco’s Newest Hotel Brand

Hilton’s popular Hampton by Hilton brand is making its debut in Morocco with two new properties opening in Benguérir and Fes:

  • Hampton by Hilton Ben Guerir is set to open in 2025 in the Green City of Benguérir. This property will offer 94 rooms, a dining area, and a gym, all designed with sustainability in mind.
  • Hampton by Hilton Fes Golf, expected to open in 2027, will feature 161 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, and three meeting rooms. This hotel will be adjacent to the Oued Fes Golf Resort, offering guests a serene escape.

Hilton’s Continued Commitment to Morocco’s Growth

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for Hilton in the Middle East and Africa, highlighted the growth of Morocco’s tourism sector, with over 13 million tourists visiting the country in 2024 alone. This increase in demand for high-quality accommodations makes it the perfect time for Hilton’s expansion.

Khneisser added, “These new signings will add more than 1,300 rooms and around 1,500 Team Members to Hilton’s growing portfolio in Morocco, where we plan to expand our footprint to over 20 hotels in the coming years.” This expansion demonstrates Hilton’s commitment to catering to the diverse needs of Morocco’s growing number of visitors and enhancing the country’s status as a sought-after tourist destination.
