Every year there is a boost in the FMCG sales during the time of Ramadan and Eid in the form of increased sales of foods and beverages as relatives, friends, and family opens their fast together during Iftar. 2021 faced a lot of chaos in terms of panic buying and stockpiling which affected the festive sales. This year due to relaxed restrictions and optimized vaccinations, UAE is all ready to celebrate an elated Eid. Price cuts are not always the best promotional tool that shoppers respond to. DATES: It is one of the most important products for the people of UAE as it is called the Prophet Muhammad’s favorite fruit and is eaten by most of the people to break their fast.

 

 CUSTARD POWDER: Custard powder is a mixture of milk, sugar and egg yolk. It is a good source of protein and calcium and also good for bone health. It is consumed as a dessert in every Iftar table.

BIRIYANI MASALA: One of the most favorite dishes served on every Iftar table made with spices, chicken, and vegetables. Biriyani masala is a perfect blend of spices containing a perfect biriyani.

VIMTO: This drink originated from Manchester it is a fruit and berry cordial and is the most common beverage during Ramadan. According to Vimto Arabia’s website, more than half of the cordial annual sales occur during the Ramadan season.

TANG: Another heart-winning beverage found in every house celebrating Iftar. More than half of Tang’s annual sales in the Middle East occur in just six weeks around Ramadan.

BASMATI RICE: It is long-grained rice that originated from the foothills of the Himalayas. It might be served as plain rice or pulao or biriyani on the Iftar tables.

OATS: Something healthy and edible with a lot of nutritious value served as a staple food on the Iftar tables.
