Fairmont Returns: New Orleans Welcomes Iconic Luxury with Fairmont New Orleans Opening in 2025

Developed in partnership with Louisiana-based Kailas Companies, the Fairmont New Orleans is set to debut in summer 2025, marking the brand's return to the vibrant city.

Situated in the heart of the Central Business District, at 1010 Common Street, the hotel occupies the historic former Bank of New Orleans Building. With its prime location one block from the French Quarter, the Fairmont will stand as a distinguished landmark between Bourbon Street and the New Orleans Superdome.

The redevelopment of 1010 Common Street represents one of the largest private investments in the city in recent years. Led by the globally renowned Rockwell Group, the design team aims to create an unforgettable experience that honors the building's rich heritage while introducing modern luxury amenities.

Originally completed in 1971 and designed by architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill, the building is a masterpiece of International Style architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Partnering with acclaimed architects and design firms, Fairmont and Kailas Companies are committed to preserving the building's legacy while enhancing its appeal for contemporary guests.

Fairmont New Orleans will occupy 18 stories within the building, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, including 40 suites of various sizes. Guests can indulge in three distinct dining experiences, including an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a rooftop bar and speakeasy boasting panoramic views of the city.

In addition to its culinary offerings, the hotel will feature over 20,000 square feet of versatile function space, ideal for corporate events and social gatherings.
