Equinox Resort Amaala scheduled to open in 2024

Amaala and The Red Sea have joined forces with Equinox, a leading global luxury lifestyle brand, to create the Equinox Resort Amaala in the pristine natural environment of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea. The Equinox Resort Amaala stands as the latest addition to Amaala by Red Sea Global, a holistic sanctuary of wellness that showcases some of the world's most renowned luxury names. This sports, fitness, and lifestyle-focused hotel will comprise 128 keys, featuring two opulent penthouses and an array of amenities. These offerings include several top-tier culinary concepts, a rooftop pool with magnesium salt water, a spa, a Beach Club, and the signature Equinox Fitness Club.

John Pagano, the Group CEO of Red Sea Global, commented, "Amaala brings together the pinnacle of health and wellness in a truly extraordinary natural setting, delivering remarkable and transformative experiences for guests. The exceptional blend of Equinox's luxury and fitness perfectly complements this vision, enabling visitors to choose between self-improvement, reconnecting with nature on land or at sea, or simply relishing quiet moments with their loved ones in utmost comfort and seclusion."

The Equinox Resort Amaala occupies a pivotal role within the Amaala Marina Village, an architectural masterpiece designed by the esteemed Foster + Partners. This village encompasses an assemblage of upscale hotels, villas, and condominiums, all within a vibrant retail hub offering captivating marina vistas. A component of the broader Triple Bay development, the Village adopts the finest aspects of local architecture, featuring charming narrow pathways conducive to exploration and discovery. The irregular facades of the streets have been thoughtfully oriented to capture and channel breezes, provide shade and shelter, and filter natural light. These design elements combine to deliver a climate-responsive environment that heightens the comfort of guests.

The Village promises a selection of premier international retail and dining brands, elevating the luxury experience against the backdrop of the picturesque marina. Views encompass the striking Triple Bay Yacht Club, the distinctive form of the Red Sea marine life institute, and the expansive coastline of the Red Sea.

The Equinox Resort Amaala, meticulously crafted by Foster + Partners, has been meticulously tailored to ensure seamless connectivity with its surroundings. The hotel's prime location affords direct access and panoramic views of both the Marina Village and the unspoiled beauty of Hijaz Cove.

An imposing Porte Cochere, adorned with a distinctive floating canopy, creates a theatrical entrance for guests arriving by land or sea. The hotel design features four inviting courtyards inspired by traditional architectural styles. These shaded courtyards, enhanced by clever landscaping and water elements, naturally cool the air, ensuring guests' comfort even on the warmest days. Guest rooms have been thoughtfully situated to capture sweeping views of either the serene Hijaz Cove or the bustling marina, with its elegant super yachts and lively promenade.

Christopher Norton, CEO of Equinox Hotels, shared, "Amaala perfectly aligns with our mission of redefining luxury hospitality. Our uniquely tailored resort offering will deliver an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can provide. We're thrilled to collaborate with the exceptional developers at Red Sea Global, who share our strong values rooted in sustainability."

Phase One of Amaala, centered on the Triple Bay masterplan, is well underway, with the first guests set to be welcomed in 2024. This phase comprises eight resorts, offering over 1,200 hotel keys. Upon completion, Amaala will encompass more than 3,900 hotel rooms spread across 29 hotels, along with approximately 1,200 luxury residential villas, apartments, and estate homes. These will be accompanied by premium retail outlets, fine dining establishments, wellness facilities, and recreational amenities.
