Danone created the Daniel Carasso Research & Innovation Center to Boost Nutrition Research.

In the presence of French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique today officially opened the company's new research and innovation center on the Paris-Saclay site. In keeping with its goal of bringing food-based health to as many people as possible, Danone has set aside a new area to create future goods for its ecosystem. At the opening, Danone revealed HiPRO Expert, a brand-new product created just for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024.


The "fresh dairy and plant-based products" and "natural mineral water" sectors for Danone will be the focus of this research center. It will comprise cutting-edge research labs, innovative pilot production facilities, and small-scale manufacturing of specialized prototypes.

More than 550 people are employed at the site right now, including top researchers in the fields of life sciences, fermentation and intestinal microbiota, nutrition, and health, as well as professionals in consumer experience and social sciences, product design, packaging, and pilot-scale manufacturing.

Danone announced the establishment of this new research center in 2021, at the forefront of innovation and according to the strictest environmental requirements, to support the transformation of the food research industry and accelerate its innovation.
