Arnott’s Opens New Multi-Million-Dollar Facility in Victoria

In an exciting development for Australia's snack industry, Arnott’s Group has officially opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Rowville, Victoria. This multimillion-dollar investment marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to local production and expanding its healthier snack options.

A Major Investment in Australian Manufacturing

The 45,000-square-metre facility is a key part of Arnott’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its Australian manufacturing network. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the facility is designed to cater to the growing demand for healthier snacks, while maintaining the company’s long history of excellence in manufacturing.

George Zoghbi, CEO of Arnott’s Group, shared his enthusiasm for the new facility, emphasizing the company’s dedication to local production and innovation:

“Arnott’s has been at the forefront of manufacturing in Australia for 160 years. Our new Rowville facility ensures we continue to drive product innovation and remain ready to cater to consumer trends as they emerge.”

Zoghbi went on to highlight how Australian consumers are increasingly seeking nutritious snacking options that combine both taste and quality. The Rowville facility, with its advanced manufacturing capabilities, will enable Arnott’s to meet these needs and expand its portfolio of better-for-you snack options available on supermarket shelves.

Cutting-Edge Manufacturing and Research Capabilities

The Rowville facility is home to three main manufacturing zones, each designed to support Arnott’s diverse product range. A dedicated allergen-free production zone ensures the company can cater to dietary needs, while an R&D culinary center is focused on developing new, innovative products. Additionally, two logistics warehouses support the smooth distribution of Arnott’s products across Australia.

The facility produces popular brands such as Freedom Cereals, Messy Monkeys, Sunsol, Heritage Mill, Arnold’s Farm, Arnott’s Treatles, and Sam’s Pantry. The scale of production is impressive, with an annual output of 180 million muesli and protein bars, 40 million oat sachets, and 300 million bowls of muesli.

Supporting Victoria’s Local Workforce

Colin Brooks, the Victorian Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing, was present at the official opening of the Rowville facility, alongside state and federal representatives. Brooks spoke to the impact of Arnott’s investment in the region:

“Arnott’s is one of Australia’s most loved brands, and they have been manufacturing in Australia for 160 years. The company’s growing presence in Victoria is testament to our skilled local workforce – and that workforce will grow with this expansion at Good Food Partners.”

This new facility is not only a win for Arnott’s but also for the local workforce, as it will create additional employment opportunities and further bolster Victoria’s manufacturing sector.

Looking Ahead: Innovation and Growth

As Arnott’s continues to invest in its Australian operations, the company is well-positioned to meet evolving consumer preferences. The new Rowville facility reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and providing healthier snacking options that resonate with today’s health-conscious consumers.

With a rich history spanning 160 years, Arnott’s is ready to tackle the future, bringing even more delicious and nutritious products to Australian families while supporting local industry and jobs.
