Anantara Mina Al Arab Unveils Exceptional Management Team for Inauguration

Anantara is excited to introduce the accomplished management team steering the success of its groundbreaking resort in the luxurious waterfront community of Mina Al Arab. With this seasoned leadership, the Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is poised to bring a new standard of Thai-inspired luxury to the shores of the Arabian Gulf.

At the helm is General Manager Ramsey Saarany, a veteran with two decades of expertise in premium hospitality, renowned for his commitment to excellence across all aspects of the industry. With a career spanning from 2004, Ramsey has earned a distinguished reputation as one of the most respected managers in the Middle East, showcasing exceptional leadership at various 5-star properties in the region.

Assuming the role of Director of Operations is Siva Bhaskar Reddy, who transitions into this position after an outstanding ten-year tenure with the Minor Hotels family. Beginning as Executive Housekeeper at Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in 2013, Siva has swiftly climbed the ranks, serving in pivotal roles such as Front Office Manager at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Director of Rooms at Anantara Kalutara Resort before joining the pre-opening management team at Anantara Mina Al Arab.

Bringing nearly 30 years of accounting experience and armed with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance from the University of Colombo, Ravindra Gamage assumes the role of Director of Finance. A consummate professional, Ravindra has delivered exceptional service to Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas for almost seven years, contributing his expertise at Desert Islands Resort by Anantara and Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort before arriving in Ras Al Khaimah.

Leading human operations as Director of People and Culture is Rudaina Sa’ad. Since 2016, Rudaina has played a pivotal role in fostering nurturing environments for formidable teams and individuals, serving as Director of Human Resources at two of Qatar’s top-performing resorts before joining the pre-opening team at The Plaza Doha by Anantara in April 2022.

Director of Sales & Marketing, Sarah Hammond, a highly successful commercial leader with an international track record for maximizing growth opportunities and driving revenue through exceptional marketing. Sarah's career commenced in the UK in 1998, leading her to the United Arab Emirates in 2016, where she has spearheaded teams at several renowned luxury hotel brands before joining Anantara Al Mina Al Arab earlier this year.

Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing is the Director of Revenue, Sergiy Maystrenko. Graduating in 2006, Sergiy has built a career in hospitality, showcasing problem-solving prowess and superb analytical skills for over 12 years. Sergiy joins Anantara after a year as Director of Revenue at a neighboring luxury property in the emirate.

Overseeing the resort’s catering operations, including a specialty Asian lagoon restaurant and Mediterranean beachfront restaurant, is Director of Food & Beverage, Andrew Vieira. With nearly two decades of experience in some of the Middle East’s most prestigious properties, Andrew brings passion and proficiency, along with expertise spanning the entire hotel lifecycle, from pre-opening to start-up, turnaround, and growth.

Rui Sousa, the newly appointed Director of Engineering, brings an impressive career as an Engineering Manager, taking him from China to the UAE. Leveraging a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from a decade in hospitality, Rui will supervise all engineering needs for the innovative Anantara Mina Al Arab, which introduces the first luxury overwater bungalows to Ras Al Khaimah.
