ADM and Believer Meats will use their Expertise to Expand the Possibilities for Meat Production

The non-exclusive memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by ADM (NYSE:ADM), a world leader in sustainable nutrition, and Believer Meats, a pioneer in the cultivated meat sector, to work together on new strategies to advance the development and commercialization of cultivated meat products.

Leticia Gonçalves, president of ADM Global Foods, said that with the world's population predicted to reach 10 billion by 2050, "ADM is working with partners across the value chain to meet food security and sustainability needs by expanding the protein ecosystem." "Cultivated beef, along with other conventional and cutting-edge sources of protein, represents an exhilarating progression and yet another method to address long-term food security concerns. Given that flexitarians make up more than half of all customers worldwide and that seven out of ten consumers are aware of farmed meat, there is a significant potential to keep introducing new protein options. We're excited to keep bringing on valuable partners as we work across the industry to meet growing demand driven by the enduring trends of food security and sustainability. We're proud to work with a true innovator like Believer to explore new ingredients and solutions to propel the development of these exciting products.

According to Gustavo Burger, CEO of Believer, "Believer is thrilled to partner with ADM in driving innovation to expand the emerging cultivated meat industry." "This relationship is a logical match given our shared commitment to sustainability and broadening the protein options available to customers. We hope to hasten the development and commercialization of premium, secure, and delectable meat products that meet the rising demands of the world's population by combining ADM's industry-leading expertise in ingredient application development and the comprehensive nutrition solutions they provide to their customers with our ground-breaking cellcultivation technology. Together, we have a unique chance to influence the direction of the protein sector and build a more resilient food system for future generations.

In accordance with the terms of the MOU, the companies intend to collaborate to explore a wide range of opportunities spanning the production of cultivated meat, with a focus on leveraging ADM's extensive ingredient library and knowledge of complete nutrition solutions to strengthen Believer's unique cell-cultivated meat process. The non-exclusive agreement also outlines a roadmap to promote the cooperation and industry expansion by 2 using ADM's processing knowledge and reach to perhaps market new goods that result from the alliance.
