200 F&B Shops will Open in Uptown Dubai

JLT is home to some of the most successful and well-liked local eateries in the UAE. In the next years, however, the F&B scene of the region will change with the introduction of the Uptown Dubai zone, which expands JLT's reach.

Once fully operational, the area will contain 200 F&B and retail shops and 2,000 dwellings, with the first residential tower scheduled for completion by the end of 2022.

The district's 28-meter-high main platform contains a two-level central plaza that will be bigger than New York's Times Square, surrounded by world-class F&B businesses and linked to a mall below.

Accor announced in 2018 that the first SO/ Hotel in Dubai will be located in Uptown Dubai.

According to DMCC, the outside façade of the skyscraper, which was originally scheduled to be completed in 2020, has now been entirely erected. It will have 188 bedrooms, restaurants, meeting facilities, offices, and 229 SO/-branded homes once completion.

In addition, guests will have access to a club with a permanent DJ, a swimming pool, and a private fitness center.
