Fresh seafood enjoyed by the waterfront holds a special appeal, and a new dining destination, Bordo Mavi, has made its debut at Jumeirah Fishing Harbour. Overlooking the serene waters of the Arabian Gulf, the restaurant, brought to you by the team behind 3fils, BRIX Desserts, Kanji, and SLRP Ramen, offers a relaxed and casual ambiance. The menu, curated by Turkish fishmonger Ersan Yılmaz, draws inspiration from coastal fishing village traditions and modern-day preparations. Featuring 200-year-old recipes passed down through generations, the dishes reflect time-honored culinary wisdom. Serving lunch and dinner, the highlights include marinated gambero rosso with caviar, clam casserole in chili garlic butter with fennel, and tender grilled octopus with crushed hazelnut, baby potatoes, and salsa verde. The main courses, such as the black seabass pomodoro and kingfish casserole in a buttery lemon and chili sauce, are equally enticing. For fish enthusiasts preferring simplicity, various cooking methods are available, including grilling or pan-searing. The fish market offers a variety of delights like seabass, seabream, turbot, Dover sole, pomfret, scorpion fish, lobster, flying fish, eel, salmon, tiger prawns, carabineros, and more. Homemade ice creams take center stage for dessert, featuring inventive flavors like thyme and olive oil, hazelnut, and kaymak paired with warm hazelnut halwa.
