A Cheese Factory is opened by ZHO in the People of Determination facility.

With the tagline "Made in the UAE," the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has established a cheese factory at its People of Determination Production Centre in the Al Bahia neighbourhood of Abu Dhabi.

The change is intended to satisfy the daily production needs of different dairy products, save goat milk for future use in manufacturing, and streamline production processes via the use of modern programming.

The initiative supports Abu Dhabi development efforts by empowering students in professional areas. Five national students from various disciplines at the Abu Dhabi Institute for Vocational Education and Training (Adveti) will carry it out, together with a trainer from the ZHO teaching team.

The construction of the plant took more than three years. By advancing the abilities of ZHO's members in the production of cheese and local goods, it began with the development of a cheese manufacturing unit in ZHO as part of the vocational and agricultural rehabilitation initiatives.

Later, upon request from a number of tourism-related companies, members of the team of the rehabilitation workshops delivered cheese products of various sorts and yoghurt.

This is part of ZHO's attempts to broaden the market for its goods so that they might help spur economic growth in Abu Dhabi.

The Hemam Farms Platform was introduced, encouraging people to work for themselves, and licences were issued to farms that registered on the platform in order to supply milk to ZHO, taking advantage of the increased demand, confidence gained, and high quality of cheese products.

The group then took the decision to build a factory in support of local businesses, possibilities, and the future, allowing us to say that the project was created in the UAE.

Abdullah Al Humaidan, the secretary-general of ZHO, expressed his extreme satisfaction with the steps that had been successfully taken, the realisation of the dream of turning the factory into an enterprise that contributed to the empowerment of people with drive, and the translation of the vision of the wise leadership to draw in young Emirati cadres and give them opportunities to carry out the project.

Al Humaidan emphasised ZHO's unwavering commitment to empowering and rehabilitating people of determination so that they leave a lasting impression on society. He also emphasised that ZHO works to expand partnerships with the private sector and encourages all institutions to activate their roles in empowering and rehabilitating people of determination.

The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, said that ZHO offers exceptional services to those who are determined. We are thrilled to assist this fantastic effort by certifying and educating factory employees on food safety standards, and we are happy to be their partner in delivering these services.

He continued by saying that the cheese plant would be visited by trained experts from ADFCA to check the implementation of food safety regulations and collect food samples to ensure that the goods adhere to authorised standards and specifications.

According to Dr. Abdul-Rahman Jassim Al Hammadi, the director of ADVETI, ADVETI supports this initiative by combining its students to help with the building, setting up, and maintaining of the cheese factory.
